Star Wars released the first 360-degree video on Facebook yesterday and it’s already been shared over 55,000 times. Last night at Social Fresh, I used the Oculus Rift headset to take an immersive VR tour of Patron’s Hacienda in Mexico. Instagram Tops 400M Active Monthly Users
Facebook-owned Instagram is still growing, announcing a milestone of over 400M active monthly userswho post 80M photos a day, accruing 3.5 billion likes a day. The site now hosts over 40 billion photos. Importantly, this keeps Instagram ahead of Twitter (316M active users) and Pinterest (100M active users).
On a final note, keep an eye out for fake “early invite” emails that purport to allow people to test Facebook’s soon-to-be-released “Dislike” button. The emails are phishing schemes, so be careful.
