Social Media That Made Us Laugh

We love a good joke. Ok. We should be honest it doesn’t have to be a good joke, we listen to embarrassingly punny jokes too.

The real trick to catch our attention, is having a brand interrupt the norms on social. This month, we’ve rounded up a few of our favorites to hopefully pleasantly interrupt your own day and give you a good chuckle.

Eat24

Yelp Eat24 sets high expectations for what fans can expect from their social profiles, with their About section on Twitter:

We can tell you from this month’s tweets, they delivered (LOL):

You don’t necessarily think about a takeout delivery service when you’re planning for thanksgiving but Eat24 certainly found a funny way to insert themselves in the holiday conversations to remind everyone to start preparing for the big day by eating large amounts of delivery food.

They have a constant stream of giggle worthy tweets that we certainly appreciate, here are a few of my favorites from this month:

Google

At the end of October, Twitter user Thomas Baekdal started a discussion about the Apple & Google burger emojis. Sundar Pichai (if you don’t know who he is, google him 😉 ) joined the conversation by tweeting that he would drop everything he was doing if people could agree on if the cheese should be on the top or bottom of a burger.

We appreciate that Sundar Pichai could humanize the Google brand by taking the time to join in the conversation and add to the fun. For the record, both answers are incorrect. Obviously, you must go cheese on top AND bottom.
