Best AI Writing Tools for Social Media: Enhance Your Content Strategy

Writing is part of the day-to-day work of a social media marketer, from crafting responses to comments or creating copy for an upcoming social post. Use AI as your writing sidekick, from rewrites to copy variations and even the review process. Of the five tools we tested, ChatGPT and GrammerlyGO were our favorites.

ChatGPT

With over 77 million ChatGPT users in the US expected by 2025, it’s no surprise it made it to our list of top AI tools. With ChatGPT, we liked how you can generate social-friendly text with emojis, tweak the writing tone, pull additional data or facts to strengthen your writing, rewrite at different reading levels, and access past prompt logs and insights to shape better results. ChatGPT is also accessible for individuals and companies of all sizes, with the free plan including the features we enjoyed using.

GrammarlyGo

GrammarlyGo is a feature available within a Grammarly account that lets you compose, rewrite, tailor your voice, reply to emails using context from an email, and ideate an outline or draft. We liked the ease of use (the plugin works with different apps), human-sounding results, and personalization. You can tailor your voice based on formality (casual, neutral, or formal), tone (personable, confident, empathetic, engaging, witty, or direct), profession, and language.

Top AI Creative Tools: Revolutionize Your Social Media Asset Creation

Save time and costs in your upcoming editorial calendar by using AI tools to create new assets or manipulate existing ones to fit your vision. We tested four tools and found that Midjourney and Adobe Firefly were our favorites.

Midjourney

Midjourney is a generative AI program that uses prompts in the Discord app to generate images. We liked the high-quality and realistic-looking images, personalization options (zoom, upscale, and extend), the ability to upload photos to create outputs that match your vision, and the frequent updates for even more creative exploration. Below are just a few images we created with Midjourney.                                                                                                                                                                                               Photo Upload Functionality

Adobe Firefly

Adobe Firefly is an AI offering that’s part of Adobe Creative Cloud where you can access a suite of tools including text effects (create stylized text using backgrounds, materials, and textures), generative fill (modify lighting, change backgrounds, and even adjust facial expressions), and text to image (set an image’s color, lighting, tone, and composition).

We liked its extensive range of tools, user-friendly interface, inclusivity (Adobe addresses public concerns and feedback and tests its models for safety and bias, sharing results with Ethics and Engineering teams), and seamless integrations with Adobe applications.
