Chris Pirillo’s Twickie Seamlessly Brings Twitter Content To Your Blog

Ever pose a question on Twitter that received a lot of comments and thought, man, that would make for a good blog post? Well, with Chris Pirillo’s Twickie, you can do just that. Twickie is a free service that fetches Twitter replies for you (and gives you an easy way to view AND export them).

I recently heard of Twickie and thought, “how cool?!” So I decided to test it out; unfortunately, I soon learned that my mere 28 followers was not going to cut it for this little experiment. Two questions posted, zero replies, but I tweet “wanting to kick someone’s ass” and EVERYONE replies. Go figure.

So I used a colleague for his following, thanks Brian, and here’s how it worked:

  • Brian posed a question on his twitter account, “[question] What is your favorite (Paid) Stock Photo Vendor?” and received a number of responses.

  • Next he logged into Twickie using his Twitter credentials

  • Once logged in, Twickie pulled his last 50 tweets

  • From there, he selected the tweet for which he wanted to pull replies and clicked
  • By clicking on the tweet, all replies to that tweet were pulled into one central location
  • Twickie then creates an embed code for you to copy and paste into your blog post

  • FINAL STEP: Simply paste the embed code into your post and publish
