18 Dec Social Media of Christmas Past
The holidays are one of my favorite times of the year- with all the great food, gifting and being with friends and family. Leading up to the holidays (and even during), shopping is always top of mind and brands are always stepping things up to make an impact during the busiest time of the year. Let’s look back at the social media post of Christmas past to see who brought their jolliest A game. Here are some Social Media Christmas Examples to fuel your jolly mood.
Nordstrom
Nordstrom captured the holidays perfectly with their 25-day countdown. Each day, they brought a new surprise to their audience. Behind door #2 of the countdown, there were puppies.
Starbucks
A “best of” post wouldn’t be complete without Starbucks, who just seems to get it. They utilize a lot of UGC, showcasing the holidays through their customer’s eyes.
L.L. Bean
#12DaysofPuppies Honestly, I don’t feel like I need to say more. Last year, L.L. Bean hosted a contest to fill their feed with 12 days of puppies for Christmas. They have always been a dog friendly brand, but they really tied it in wonderfully for the holidays.
Lip Smacker
#12DaysofKISSmas was a sweepstakes that Lip Smacker ran last year. The concept, essentially 12 days of giveaways, is cute and on point with their brand. The promotion is running again this year and it looks as if they might have taken a page out of Nordstrom’s social book.
La Colombe Coffee Roasters
From café to can, La Colombe has been innovating coffee since I graduated high school (winky face). Located in Philly, they brought us a super cute stop animation last Christmas.
Kroger
Utilizing UGC is a great way to provide holiday content. Our friends at Kroger did just that last year with cute recipe shots.
This holiday is already showing some great content that puts you in the spirit of the season. Every year, I look forward to seeing what brands will be doing. If you’re looking for help with the holiday seasons or social media content in general, check out our services, we’re here to help!
